Main Goal

Our main goal is to partner with parents in providing young children the opportunity to develop self-regulation and confidence, social interaction skills, intellectual competence, and important attitudes about themselves as valuable individuals and lifelong learners.

Word of the year: Caring

Community Service

MAIN GOAL

Director Debbie Sessions, since Aug 2020

My name is Debbie Sessions.  I am excited to be the Center Director of Sandy’s Preschool & Childcare. I have an Associates of Art with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for over 30 years including a successful family childcare business for 15 years.  I have worked in youth sports and summer camp programs.  I have taught Preschool in other childcare centers and love to teach preschool!

I believe that that a child’s job is to play.  As children play, they learn new skills, develop social skills, coping mechanisms, the ability to test new ideas as well as mastery of their bodies and emotions.   I believe that all children should be respected and taught to solve conflicts and express emotions in age appropriate ways.

I am a mother to five grown children and so far, I have three grand-babies.

I have been lucky enough to have lived and worked in many different states and childcare programs. I look forward to working with you and your children.

One of our core values is helping children develop social skills and important attitudes about themselves. To help us teach those two values, we will be focusing our teaching this year on caring for others.  We will be actively serving in our community. As we do this, children will practice social skills, develop sympathy, increasing their awareness of others, developing a sense of pride in their community, experiencing how serving others helps them feel good about themselves and brings joy. They will develop feelings of value, self-worth, and see how caring for others makes a difference, they can be the difference.
